What can we expect from you if we book you?

My style is very candid and natural, blending photojournalism with traditional portraiture techniques. My images reflect my love of clean composition and natural light. On your wedding day I’ll be there to capture everything and yet you often won't notice me there at all. There’s a skill in the balance of knowing when to hang back and document moments, or when to guide and direct to ensure moments and take advantage of great light and shot opportunities. Throughout the day I will capture a mix of candid shots, along with all of those essential moments and traditional wedding portraits you want to look back on with your family for years to come. All of the love, friends and family and lots of laughs. I also love accentuating the natural environment or architecture of the space we're shooting in; paying homage to the wonderful region or venue we're lucky enough to be enjoying.

Do you travel for weddings?

Absolutely, I have shot all over the ACT and NSW. Everywhere from Canberra, regional ACT and the Southern Highlands, all the way to Wollongong, Sydney, the Hunter Valley, the South Coast, the Snowy Mountains and even out West! Regional weddings are simply charged at a flat fee on top of standard booking charges.

Do we need a second shooter?

I primarily shoot solo, and I have your small to medium-sized wedding in very capable hands. If you are planning a large wedding (i.e. 150 or more guests), or a wedding with location challenges (i.e. large distances to travel between wedding parties), it can be a great option to have a second shooter. This is charged as an additional $70 per hour, accounting for their wages and additional time in post-production. Let’s chat about this if you’re interested!

Can we meet with you to discuss our wedding?

Yes please! Getting to know my clients and often becoming friends is something that I truly value about my job. What better way than to meet, chat and bond to ensure we're a good fit - and that we have an absolute blast working together! I have become lifelong friends and met some truly amazing people through the process of working together. If you are unable to meet me for a coffee, we can arrange a FaceTime or Zoom date and have a chat about your plans for the day.

How many hours coverage will we need?

This is different for every wedding. I do offer a 5 hour package which covers essential bride prep through to the bride & groom entrance at the reception. My most popular photography coverage packages are between 8-9 hours which covers both bride and groom prep through to around 3-4 hours at the wedding reception to include the speeches, cake, bridal waltz and even your grandpa busting out some excellent vintage dance moves. Additional coverage is always available no matter how much more you would like covered. I can offer elopement and mid-week mini wedding photography packages which are generally around 3 hours of coverage.

How many images will we receive?

Every wedding is amazingly different and provides a unique array of shot opportunity; so there is no one answer for how many images I will take or handover. I don't like to budget on shots taken or shots handed over, I just want to make sure I capture all of the essential details and amazing moments that form the story of the day. This said, I as a general guide you will receive approximately 100 images per hour of coverage - so eight hours will produce around 800 final images in your gallery. These are provided with the option to download both high res files (perfect for large prints!) and web res files, perfect for social media.

We feel awkward in front of the camera - can you help us?

I know those feels. It can seem daunting to be in front of a camera (trust me, I've been in your shoes), please don't worry. I have absolutely got you! It's my mission to make you feel as comfortable and relaxed during your time on shoot with me. I will guide you through our portrait sessions in a way that makes keeps things moving and candid, and I'll provide you with prompts and actions that create real moments and connection with your lover. Our shoot is basically us all hanging out - we’ll get to know one another during our session; and explore somewhere beautiful along the way.

Will you Photoshop me?

My goal is to capture you as your authentic self, and I will guide you on shoot to ensure you’re presenting on camera as flatteringly as possible. I am a firm believer that natural is best, and we are all wonderful just the way we are; so I do not offer retouching as a standard service. To me, editing images is about accentuating the best aspects of the shot, which is usually through colour grading, cropping and ensuring small details are tended to. This may include blemish and stray hair removal, or I might remove a pesky power line or two - however I do not offer physical reshaping or detailed skin retouching. If you would like this after the delivery of your gallery, I can help you find the right retoucher to help.

Can we buy albums and prints with you too?

Absolutely yes! Printed memories are forever. And there is nothing more amazing than sharing the memories and stories of your day by flipping through tangible and beautiful albums and prints on your walls. Something to show the grand kids one day, right? My selection of fine art prints and framed prints will become heirlooms. These are available to purchase straight out of your gallery, with Paypal and expedited shipping options at your fingertips.

How long do we need for wedding portraits on the day?

With six+ years of wedding experience to offer you - I can offer my insights to ensure your day runs smoothly. I’ll help you plan your wedding itinerary so that there’s enough time for all of your family portraits and bridal party portraits tailored to your wedding size, location and timeline needs. I can also offer guidance on timings for getting ready photos and reception runsheets. No matter if you’re keen for first look portraits or golden hour sunset portraits, I’ve got you!

Should we do an engagement session?

I absolutely love engagement sessions. They’re such a great way for us to get to know each other ahead of the wedding, and for you to get a feel for being in front of the camera! Plus, you get gorgeous portraits that document this moment in time with your loved one. These are so handy for invitations, wedding guest books and wedding websites!

In fact, I love engagement sessions so much I like to discount them when they’re bundled with my wedding packages. Please mention you’d like an engagement session so I can bundle this for you.
